Maverick

Maverick, a five-year-old Golden Retriever, proudly serves as the Jay Farner Family Foundation’s Chief Treat Officer. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring all guests, board members, and unsuspecting visitors receive appropriate (and often mandatory) levels of affection.

His daily duties include strategic shoe acquisition, toy transportation across multiple rooms, and maintaining high standards of morale through enthusiastic greetings and generous face-licking.

Maverick believes deeply in the power of connection, comfort, and full-body tail wags. When not overseeing treat operations, he enjoys carrying objects that do not belong to him and reminding everyone that joy is best delivered with a tennis ball in your mouth.

He considers himself underpaid but over-petted.
